Clipline is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not operate a server, and Clipline has no user accounts.
Nothing. Clipline does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking software.
Bookmarks, tags, notes, and any location you attach to an item are stored only in a local database on your device. This data is included in a backup file only when you choose to export one, and that file goes wherever you send it.
When you add a link, the app fetches that page's title, description, and preview image directly from the website you are saving (and, for videos, a thumbnail from the video host). These requests go to those third-party sites, not to us, and carry nothing beyond a normal web request.
Location is used only when you turn on Geo-Tag for a specific save. The coordinates are stored with that one bookmark on your device and are never transmitted. You can revoke the location permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. Remove an individual item from its detail screen, or delete the app to erase the entire local database. Because we hold no data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.
Clipline is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
